Assignment 2 : Geodesic Dome, 28 July 2010, 1000-1300

The second task for me is to produce a Geodesic Dome. We are required to check the dome calculator before start our mission. My intention is using 2V to build my dome with 5cm as radius which is my action. It consists of two different length of bamboo satay sticks which are 3.090cm and 2.732cm. I needed 35 pieces and 30 pieces of bamboo satay sticks of 3.090cm and 2.732cm respectively. There are 10 4-ways connections, 6 5-ways connections and 10 6-ways connections in my product.
This is the picture when we discuss how to connect the bamboo satay sticks so that it can form a dome.
After our discussion, I have started to do the dome in my room. This picture shows the base of the dome.
This is the second layer of the dome.
This picture shows the cover of the dome and it is completed after paste the cover on the processing product.
This picture shows the final product.

At the end of the class, i know that to build a dome model is very easy and the key is we need patience to plaster the bamboo satay stick together. As a conclusion, the people in the assignment is me, the principle is to follow the dome calculator and the place is in my room.
